Hotel Galvani in History

1945 - THE ORIGINS

It is August. Carlo Galvani, a war veteran, moves from Volta Mantovana to Maderno on Lake Garda for health reasons with his family: Antonietta Bonazzi and his two sons, Arnaldo and Remo.

1945 - IN TORRI DEL BENACO

In September, the Galvani family moves to the opposite shore of Lake Garda, to Torri del Benaco, and rents the Villa of Marquis M. Barbaro.

1948 - THE INN

Grandmother Antonietta Bonazzi, with her great passion for cooking, took over an inn: thus La Fraderiana was born.

1958 - HOTEL GALVANI IS BORN

The Galvani family bought a plot of land at Pontirola 7 in Torri del Benaco from the Vedovelli family: the Hotel Galvani was built here. Initially it was a one-star hotel, consisting of some twenty rooms on two floors.

1969 - THE FIRST EXPANSION

With the first expansion of the hotel, a bar was built and six more rooms with full bathrooms were added on the upper floor.

1977 - LA DÉPENDANCE

With this extension, the building is enriched with a new annexe.

1985 - POMEMBEN TRENUTEK

In the mid-1980s, the Hotel Galvani underwent a transfer from Antonietta Bonazzi to Remo Galvani: the company Galvani s.n.c. was founded, later transformed into Quattro G. s.a.s. and formed by Remo Galvani, Giuseppina Consolini and their four sons Luigi, Alberto, Donatella and Federico. Following the transformation of all the rooms, now equipped with private bathrooms, the rating went up to 2 stars.

1993 - THE SWIMMING POOL

The construction of the hotel's outdoor swimming pool, on a beautiful terrace with a view of Lake Garda, leads to a 3rd star.

1997 - NEW PLAN, NEW SERVICES, NEW STAR

In the late 1990s, a major transformation of the hotel was completed. A 3rd floor was added with 8 rooms with private bathrooms. The Hotel is now equipped with a lift, private garage and relaxation area with heated indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath. The Hotel Galvani is awarded 4 stars.

2012 - COMPLETE RENOVATION

With the complete renovation of the 1st and 2nd floors, rooms and bathrooms are totally renovated. On the ground floor, two new bedrooms are created. At present, the Hotel Galvani has 33 rooms

2019 - VILLA REMO IS BORN

In 2019, a new building with 12 spacious rooms, Sky Pool and rooftop terrace will be built. This building was named after the father Remo Galvani.
